Started to upgrade the old character (Original can be seen at the bottom of the post). I re-modeled the face. Better edgeloops and more basic detail. I started te create som textures and shaders for the set. For the rocks and cave parts it was better to create some procedural textures. The contain a diffuse, normal and displacement layer. First testresult below. . . . . . .

I started working on the set where our bandit hides out. It’s far from complete, but “Work In Progress”. It’s an abandoned goldmine somewhere in the desert. Countless props, vegetation and other attributes have yet to be made. . . !! UPDATE!! . . . . . . ..  

While our friend Pancho is a bandit  himself, he also has some enemies.  I started to create his opponent. The character is slightly based on the biggest western badass of them all…. Lee van Cleef. (You know him, he’s “The Bad” in The good,the bad and the ugly) Still work in progress. More Soon! . [...]

It all started with an idea…. expanding every day…… Finally i took the time to start modeling on my character. It looked pretty well although it was’nt finished by far. Finally  the 1.0 version of jochemaarts.com is online. All the old stuff of the portfolio is removed and fillend with some fresh stuff. In the upcoming weeks more items will be added.
